Innsbruck
Innsbruck is a unique symbiosis of a first-class health resort and a beautiful museum city with a history stretching back some 800 years. Innsbruck is located in the heart of the Eastern Alps, at the foot of the Carwendel Ridge. With an altitude of over 2500 metres, the surrounding mountains guarantee spectacular views from just about anywhere in Innsbruck. In Innsbruck was twice host to the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 and 1976, from which it inherited an excellent skiing infrastructure with stadiums, ski jumps, ice rinks, pistes and much more.
