Rome
Rome - the capital of the Italian Republic since 1871, the administrative center of the region of Lazio and the Roman province - was founded in 753 BC. The city celebrates its birthday on April 21. As everyone knows, Rome is located on 12 hills, however, the most famous of them are the seven central hills: Palatine, Aventine, Capitol, Quirinal, Vinal, Esquiline and Celius, on which the central historical part of the city is located, spreads on a territory of 150 sq. km. From north to south, Rome crosses the Tiber River. Once it was a deep, navigable river that threatened people with floods. Today it is "chained" in stone parapets and does not pose a danger. In Rome, there is a city-state - the Vatican, occupying a territory of 40 hectares.
